KWC Tennis Day
Kind World Club’s first event with iTennis Coaching Academy was a GRAND SLAM thanks to the 26 neurodivergent children, their siblings and parents + carers who attended. It was so wonderful to see kids with varying support needs step into a new environment and give tennis a go!
Chris, our friend and Coaching Director at iTennis Coaching Academy set up numerous stations across three tennis courts and our families were able to move between each station at their leisure under the guidance of five friendly iTennis coaches.
For those who needed a little time out and some respite from all the on-court excitement, sensory tools and colouring activities kept the kids entertained inside when a relaxing, quiet and low demand change of environment was required.
A personal highlight was meeting some wonderful families and having such valuable conversations. Our journeys feel so much less isolated when we can walk alongside others on a similar path. It fills me with such pride and joy to be a part of this community. To witness parents + carers holding so much love and space for their incredible children is something else… Very much looking forward to the next event! See you next time! :)
